Would you follow your doctor’s advice if he told you to go out and have fun? Across the nation, healthcare providers are urging people to get outdoors to play and learn in national parks. Be a part of the action. Watch how healthy parks lead to healthy people!
The National Park Service's (NPS) Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance program is working with doctors, healthcare providers and NPS managers as part of the Healthy Parks Healthy People (HPHP), Greater Washington Area Initiative. Doctors are prescribing park or nature prescriptions to patients so they can improve their health, connect with the outdoors and become park stewards. Click on
